4 R Referee Basic Position: 1.10 to 12 yards deep - 1 yard outside TE

5 R Referee Basic Position: 1.Positions himself on the QB throwing arm side. If QB is right handed, line up on the right side of the field.

6 R Referee Basic Position: 1.Positions himself on the QB throwing arm side. If QB is left handed, line up on the left side of the field.

7 R Referees keys: 1.Primary key is all action involving the QB 2.Secondary key is the tackle to the HL side of the field

8 R Referees responsibilities on a run play: 1.Responsible for all action on QB prior to a handoff. After a handoff to another player, watch for action at point of attack

11 R Referees responsibilities on a pass play: 1. When pass shows, referee goes back at 45 degree angle 2.Responsible for all action on QB prior to a pass. Secondary responsibility for the tackle to the HLs side of the field

14 U Umpire - Keys: 1.Primary – Center and two guards 2.Secondary – Both tackles

15 U Umpire - Responsibilities: 1.Actions of the center and two guards on run and pass plays 2.Assist on trap passes

18 LJ HL HL and LJ – Basic Positions 1.On the Line of Scrimmage 2.Toes on the out of bounds line

19 LJ HL HL and LJ – Keys 1.Snap, tackle, then read run or pass 2.On run plays, read action at point of attack and spot progress of ball

20 LJ HL HL and LJ – Keys 3.On pass plays, HL and LJ are primary responsible for the widest receiver on their side of the field 4.Secondary responsibility for second receiver in on their side of the field

21 LJ HL HL and LJ – Keys 5.HL and LJ coordinate with BJ to cover receivers in different formations (will be shown in subsequent slides)
