Among recipients of a first kidney-alone transplantation performed between 1998 and 2012, patient survival in those with a primary diagnosis of diabetic nephropathy (n=978) was inferior to that in those with glomerulonephritis (GN) (n=3985) and those with other diagnoses (n=3745) (log rank χ2 P<0.0001).
