2 Services Requirements Document (v2) new draft available for review Reworked to enable greater elaboration about service outcomes in key thematic areas Explicit mapping to the geographic areas: Arctic, Antarctic, Third Pole Context/opportunity for input from research and observations teams on strategies to meet service needs Several international, intergovernmental reports, (e.g., AMSA, Arctic Report Card) provide context and drivers for service improvements National Strategies outline priorities around stewardship of the Arctic Region, responsible resource development, and international collaboration. Calls for specific improvements in weather and sea ice forecasts, sea ice research, observations, and stronger foundational science. GIPPS is a likely cross-cutting solution for these National Strategies in the years ahead. 2
