BAT Test Demonstration Version Includes sample items from the LEBAT, COBAT, and PROBAT
Instructions: The following items will assess your ability to apply rules to specific problems as well as your ability to combine separate pieces of information to come to specific conclusions. Let me show you an example of the kind of questions that will be asked.
Example At 2:30AM a man called the police to report the theft of his 2-year- old convertible sports car. When Officer Wendt arrived to investigate, he discovered that: (1) there was no broken glass in the driveway; (2) the mans 17-year-old daughter was not present; they had argued earlier in the evening because of a party she wanted to attend that night (she was grounded and instructed to spend the night in her room); (3) nobody witnessed any suspicious activity or individuals that evening; (4) the man said he had lost his car keys. Which of the following is the most likely explanation? A. The car was not stolen; the mans daughter took the car. B. The mans daughter was kidnapped by the person who stole the car. C. The car was repossessed by the bank. D. The mans wife took the car to go grocery shopping.
