There are more devices and device choices streaming into the enterprise, like it or not The need and demand for collaboration applications are high, driven by the need for increased productivity and the availability of consumer grade capabilities Support for these applications and devices are shaping today’s architectures, while enterprises struggle to make them fit within their current legacy environments Conversation – Discussion around what is happening in their business, etc. . INFO ON STATS Enterprises need to address the transformation of how enterprise works 500,000+ apps – Apple.com 400,000+ Android apps – Time / Techland 30% reduction in IT budget – Gartner (pulled from notes of trends slide in EAC overview deck) Mobility – mobile applications, outpacing the Desktop 4:1* (march 2012) New research forecasts that videoconferencing and telepresence spending will reach a cumulative $22 billion in the next five years. The research, from Infonetics, said fourth quarter sales globally were up 15 percent in the quarter sequentially to $882 million. The $882 million was a record for any quarter, the company said. But, that growth was overshadowed by the full year's numbers. Infonetics said 2011 sales of videoconferencing and telepresence equipment was $2.99 billion, a 34 percent jump from 2010. 5 Customer Challenges End User Line of Business IT
Presentation to customers; Internal/external meetings BYOD Line of Business Get closer to my customers Resolve problems faster Increase my team’s productivity Faster time to market As an IT director you have a lot of demands on you: The demands of your job (keeping the organization happy with your current mish-mash of end-user analog/digital/SIP devices, specialist video conference rooms that always require support and an IT infrastructure that today is complex, doesn’t inter-connect, relies on proprietary software, is expensive to manage, requires a large, expensive, niche-skilled staff to maintain and support it and last of all maintaining security and control (Note: security and control, reliability, then integration are key drivers in why people bring in on-premise conferencing) Meeting the expectations of the End Users that need to communicate effectively for: presentations to customers web seminars to prospects demonstration of software products product support sales training e-learning/distance education meetings with internal teams/project management meetings with external teams and partners Meeting the expectations of the LOB (to make business and employees more efficient with technology - increasing productivity, making ‘work’ easier and more efficient, facilitating distributed work patterns, enabling better work-life balance, delivering the consumer-style apps and features they experience in their home lives – with high quality, reliable communications) Meeting the expectations of CxOs (to solve rising SGA with technology solutions – by reducing costs and growing revenue) IT Reduce TCO Integration with applications Find enough experts for all my IT systems Maintain Security, control & reliability

6 Avaya Vision Transformative Collaboration… in a Post PC World Right People, Right Time, Right Information Pervasive Portable Relevant Persistent Avaya Vision: Bringing together the Right People at the Right time, all of the Right Information Awareness Collaboration Behavior needs to be a key overarching input. It is an important attribute in linking these things together. Presence and Location Stores like Exchange or IMAP Document Management and Storage like DropBox or Exchange Business Applications Calendar items in the recent past and near future Relationships derived from corporate organizational structures and Behavior – the frequency of communications, the speed of response to an , etc. I would think of “Awareness” as the ability to recognize and incorporate a set of softer/human values into the user experience.  So, the way I interpret chart 3: - The pillars layer – , documents etc. – are the collateral needed for collaboration. In this spirit, I would replace “relationships” with “org structure”, as you have it in the earlier charts. Location and presence also fit in here somewhere. - The accessibility layer – relevant, portable etc. – indicate today’s requirements for access to the collateral - The awareness layer is about personalization and interpretation, enabling people to collaborate intuitively and effortlessly, with minimal need to attend to the mechanics of tools. This layer incorporates values such as relationships, priorities, group dynamics, work ethic.  (the “human middleware” that you reference in your 5 phase slide, love the term). The net effect of this layer is – what you need for effective collaboration is delivered to you when you need it; you don’t have to go looking for it AWARENESS Relationships Behavior Context Contacts Location Presence Calendar Documents Business Applications

7 Avaya Aura® Conferencing 7.x
Leveraging the Power of Avaya Aura® Avaya Aura® Conferencing + Avaya Flare® Experience Avaya Aura® Conferencing 7.x Avaya Aura® There is a strong set of ideas behind Avaya Aura Conferencing 7.0 That it  is a multi-modal multimedia conference  product What a moderator creates and participants join is a conference session (not an audio  conference, or a web conference or video..) Every conference session can be created with any media type (audio, web or video) and other media can be added to or subtracted from  the conference while it is in progress All conference controls apply to the conference session– and translated as applicable to the media active in the conference That the concept of cascaded conferences  (with any/all media) is central to Avaya Aura Conferencing 7.0 and every conference is by default treated as cascaded unless the deployment topology itself prevents that. Standout features relevant to Audio/Web Highly Scalable – Can support up to 150,000 provisioned users of which up to 7,500 can be active concurrently. Distributed Architecture  for Audio conferencing – allows on-premise system deployment with significant bandwidth savings for a large multi-site organization. Integrated Voice+Content Collaboration – eVoice (enhanced Voice) conferencing with content sharing enabled with variety of clients (Flare on Windows/iPad, Collaboration Agent on Windows/iPhone) Multiple Deployment Options – Of note a single server deployment can support up to 500 concurrent audio and 500 concurrent web sessions. Stateful Failover – The Application Server (control server) can failover while preserving the state of all active conferences Dynamic Bandwidth Management -  (based on user priority and real-time re-allocation of bandwidth between conference participants) User Interface/Experience – Drives the compelling Flare User Experience Session Based, Unified Audio, Web & Video* Collaboration Supports BYOD Scale to Thousands of Desktops Highly Efficient Bandwidth Management * Intended plan for future roadmap. Easy on the User A friendly, fun-to-use, consistent interface makes it easy on the user – on the right device at the right time From anywhere – on any browser From the desk From the desktop with Windows (web client and Integrated roster on Windows) From your existing phone - available on any device … An integrated multimodal experience using the Flare Experience keeping a spotlight on conferencing front and center Intuitive and fun One stop collaboration Access from Web browsers From any device

11 Flare® Experience--Intuitive and Fun
Storyline: Now that you have secured the enterprise and access from the growing number of different devices, how do you make the best use of these new access points? You need a unifying experience, something that can not just access different data streams but leverage the context of those streams and activities to truly make users more productive. You also need that experience across devices. The Avaya Flare Experience can provide both. Our roadmap shows the Avaya Flare experience available across devices and in addition we are adding additional functionality to create a true contextual collaboration experience. 13 One Stop Collaboration at your Fingertips
Roster, Contacts Conference Controls Presence, IM Collaboration Avaya Flare experience on iPad provides full mobility of a user’s enterprise communication channels. Quote from a reference: “I can take my communication with me wherever I go, without the hassle to disconnect or connect equipment from one place to another. I ts intuitive interface helps manage any number of conference calls, and allows me to jump back and forth between them. When I want to initiate a conversation, all I need is to drag and drop a contact into the spotlight, where it is always clear what communication is active in the foreground. The Avaya Flare Experience sets up the call and there is no need for manual dialing. The consolidated address books of social media channels, PC, and smartphones make the contact management seamless, thus it is very easy to browse through the full contact list, and find the appropriate contact and review the contact history with the relevant contact. With the visualization of the contacts presence status any collaboration is made easy, and accessible from the office, road or home has increased the time spent on productive communication, rather than the establishment of the communication channels.”

25 Save on WAN costs with Media Cascading
Hosting Media Server A Control (Location A) CM Server Avaya Aura® Conferencing 7 User A1 Session Manager RTP/RTCP RTP/RTCP SIP SIP WAN Media Servers can be cost-effective for cascading to relatively small locations, thanks to the scalability of SVC with layers that can be thinned efficiently. (Note: SVC only applies to video streams. Cascading applies to audio and video streams. Cascading of web conferencing is not supported in the initial release). By choosing a distributed cascading model, $$ are saved. Cascading mixes multiple media streams locally so only a single stream is sent over the WAN (saving costs and enabling it to scale to support 1000s users in HD) (show animated graphics) Because it’s a software based solution, maintenance is easier, capacity can be easily extended, upgrades can be quickly taken care of Meaning less cost And from a vendor committed to always enabling you to leverage your existing investments into the future (use your existing Tandberg, Cisco, Polycom endpoints) -- and we won’t ask you to purchase proprietary end points.
