18 A RECENT EXAMPLE People with disabilities envisioned a world in which they had access to communities. They took action and passed the Americans with Disabilities Act. Today many buildings are equipped with ramps and automatic door openers. Although more needs to be done, individual view changed the world view about what people with disabilities can do.
