HISTORICAL SPEED-DATING MEDICINE AND HEALTH THROUGH TIME

DATES AND TREATMENTS You have a DATE sheet or a TREATMENT sheet. Read it carefully. DATEs stay at their numbered desks. TREATMENTs move round each time. Each DATE will have one minute with each TREATMENT. Your task is to find the perfect match.

FINDING THE PERFECT MATCH You have one minute only to chat to/up each potential match. You may not exchange sheets – you have to talk to each other. Briefly tell your partner about your DATE or TREATMENT. Quickly discuss and decide how well you match up and record a score…

THE PERFECT MATCH? If you decide DATE and TREATMENT do not match at all, record score of 0/10. If they match a bit, score something out of ten. If you have found the (or a) perfect match, score 10/10. Whatever you decide, jot down your reasons – you will be asked for them later.

HOW TO DECIDE You will have to think (quickly) about how well the DATE and TREATMENT match. Could they, do they, really belong together? Look for clues in the information given on the sheets. Remember you only have a minute and you MUST jot down your score and reasons every time.

GOOD LUCK IN TRYING TO FIND THAT PERFECT MATCH!!
