What is Electronic Check Recovery? Electronic Check Recovery is also known as re-presentment of check or RCK. Newly approved method for collecting NSF checks without contacting the customer or using a collection agency. After providing notice the bank account of the check writer can be debited for the amount of the check and a state allowed collection fee. We provide suggestions for providing proper notification to the check writer. Our system uses the National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA) to recover NSF checks electronically. Re-presentment is the equivalent of re-depositing a bad check through the bank except its faster and much more effective.
Is Electronic Check Re-presentment Legal? l This process has been in use for several years. New regulations regarding electronic re-presentment officially became effective in September 1998. l The process was tested by the National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA) and approved by the Department of Treasury.
Our service is FREE. There is no set up fee or monthly minimum. We will increase the recovery rate for lost funds resulting in more dollars for your school budget. Outsourcing the collection task will free up your staff and permit them to concentrate on more important tasks. Staff members dread bad check collections. Schools receive a credit in the form of a $5 rebate for every recovered NSF check. This pumps extra dollars into your budget. All funds are deposited weekly by direct deposit using electronic fund transfer (EFT). Advantages for Your School

The account is monitored prior to the second re-presentment for availability of funds. At the option of the school district, non-NSF checks are sent to our secondary collection agency or else returned to the school. Funds recovered electronically along with funds collected by our secondary collection agency are deposited into your school bank account every Monday.
