4 Greek words for LOVE 1. Storge – affection (weakest form) 2. Philia – friendship / brotherly love 3. Eros – erotic sexual love 4. Agape – unselfish & unconditional love
Biblical Love: 1Corinthians 13:4-13 4 Agape love is patient, Agape love is kind and is not jealous; Agape love does not brag and is not arrogant, 5 Agape love does not act unbecomingly; Agape love does not seek its own, Agape love is not provoked, Agape love does not take into account a wrong suffered, 6 Agape love does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7 Agape love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. 8 Agape love never fails… 12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. 13 But now faith, hope, Agape love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is Agape love.
Loving People? The Lord in His wisdom has designed some of us as introverts and some of us as extroverts. Are you an introvert (internal/ reserved) or extrovert (outgoing/gregarious)? What about temperaments? Are you a people pleaser? Are you and your spouse the same or different? And how does this impact/influence the way you love people?
"Pay close attention to YOURSELF and YOUR TEACHING" - 1Timothy 4:16 What do you do to disciple by example, meaning bringing the Bible into loving people, family decisions, lifestyle, etc? What area would you like to improve?
