©2000, HEARTLIGHT Charm is deceptive and beauty is vain, But a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned and Praise her at the city gates. Proverbs 31:30-31

©2000, HEARTLIGHT She is clothed with strength and dignity She will laugh at the days to come! LAUGH? Proverbs 31:25

©2000, HEARTLIGHT Yes, she will Laugh! Yes, she will Laugh!

©2000, HEARTLIGHT Remember Sarahs Laugh? When first told she was going to have a baby in her old age, she laughed, but then denied it. Her only sin was that she wouldnt laugh with God! (Genesis 18:1-14) But when Isaac, whose name means laughter, finally arrived, Sarah laughed without shame! When first told she was going to have a baby in her old age, she laughed, but then denied it. Her only sin was that she wouldnt laugh with God! (Genesis 18:1-14) But when Isaac, whose name means laughter, finally arrived, Sarah laughed without shame! Sarah said, God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me. And she added, Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have borne him a son in his old age. (Genesis 21:6-7)

©2000, HEARTLIGHT You See, Sometimes Mothers Laugh! You See, Sometimes Mothers Laugh! After all, on some days, what other options are there?

©2000, HEARTLIGHT She laughs with joy at the birth of a child! And laughs even more at the birth of a grandchild!

©2000, HEARTLIGHT She laughs at the familiar smell of baby powder, the softness of her babys sweet cheeks, and the warmth of a precious bald head.

©2000, HEARTLIGHT She laughs in the tender moments of discovery and play as her baby learns about life and wonder and love!

©2000, HEARTLIGHT She laughs at her childs thrill when learning new things and conquering new challenges. Even if it means lots of attention to an insecure little heart and a few skinned up knees. Because deep down she knows, her child is not hers, just a precious loan from God for awhile.

©2000, HEARTLIGHT Even when she is not sure what she should do, or even what exactly is wrong, she will laugh -- just so her child wont be afraid.

©2000, HEARTLIGHT She laughs in the busy-ness of her daily life. Even if the only moments she can steal to be alone are while running errands!

©2000, HEARTLIGHT She laughs, even when its more a wrestling match of wills, because she knows the stakes are too high to give up on her child, especially when that child can get the best of her nearly every time they spar.

©2000, HEARTLIGHT She laughs, because sometimes thats all she knows to do! Like when she has be tough and hard-headed enough to outlast the latest tantrum, rebellion, or ugly thing that has come her way from her precious bundle of joy who has suddenly found lots of things wrong about her faith, values, and rules. She laughs, because sometimes thats all she knows to do! Like when she has be tough and hard-headed enough to outlast the latest tantrum, rebellion, or ugly thing that has come her way from her precious bundle of joy who has suddenly found lots of things wrong about her faith, values, and rules.

©2000, HEARTLIGHT It doesnt matter if her child is young or old, she will laugh as she tells about the latest and greatest thing her child has just accomplished.

©2000, HEARTLIGHT Yes, mothers of faith laugh! They are daughters of Sarah. They have learned that when they laugh, God smiles, keeps his promises, and gives them His grace. For after all, they do His most important work on earth: They show His children that He loves them!

©2000, HEARTLIGHT Dear Mom, Thanks for laughing! In the sound of your voice, I have anticipated the joy of heaven and feel at home. With all my love, Your Child
