4 Nowadays scientists have different opinions about how the concept of beauty has developed over the years. 6 POLYCLITUS : POLYCLITUS : Polyclitus, was a Greek sculptor who formulated an artistic cannon, a collection of rules, elaborated with mathematical calculus whose aim was the perfect representation of human body. The main objective of the book was to study the proportion of the different parts which form the anatomy.
