You are a special, unique person who deserves to be alive and to be treated with dignity, compassion and respect. If you have low self esteem, you may make poor choices or avoid doing some things you really want to do. That can worsen your self esteem. There are many things you can do to help yourself feel better about yourselfraise your self esteem.

Carry it with you and read it over and over, every chance you get. Make signs with this message and hang them in prominent places around your home. 2. Make an appreciation paper 2. Make an appreciation paper. At the top of a sheet of paper write Things I Like About _____________ (Your Name). Have friends, acquaintances, family members, etc., write an appreciative statement about you on it. When you read it, just accept it! Read it over and over for reinforcement. Keep it in a prominent place where you will see it often.

Hang flattering pictures of yourself all around your living space Tell a friend you want to compliment them for 5 minutes then ask them to compliment you for five minutes Arrange to spend time with people who like you and treat you well.
