12 Conclusions Dependent loops are prevalent and, as Garcia hypothesized, impede bladder emptying and promote urine retention Urine output monitoring by measurement of urine outflow from the bladder is inaccurate if urine output is being sequestered by the bladder due to the back pressure caused by urine-filled dependent loops Copyright 2013 Samsun Lampotang
