The fashion in the sixties is very similar to the fashion now but they were worn differently: Skinny jeans Bell bottom jeans Pencil skirts Knee high boots Many different prints Tie-dye Bright colors

There were many different fashion icons in the 60s, the top three I chose were: Twiggy Mary Quant Brigitte Bardot

Born as Lesley Hornby, Twiggy did not get her name because of her thin figure until she started modeling. Her look that made a big fashion statement in the 60s was wearing cute little school girl outfits with simple but bold eye makeup.

Brigitte Bardot was one of the top fashion icons of the 60s, she stared in many 60s films and, has appeared on various magazine covers; French Vogue, Elle Magazine, and many others. She was also known as the princess of pout and known for her cat-eye makeup.

Mary Quant is one of the most famous fashion designers of the 60s. Mary was the influencer of many styles and although she did not create them most of the public was not seen wearing them until they saw her designs.

Although the 60s is long gone there are still a lot of different people wearing the fashion and a lot of designers with the style in their collections: Christian Dior Paul Smith Michael Kors

As society changed, their fashion sense changed with it. By studying the progresses of the times, it is easy to see the fashions and peoples interests in clothing.
