Carpark II Michele Brena Cover Carpark II

Michele Brena Introduction Why this launch ? -

Carpark II Michele Brena System Overview Max 123 sensors Up to 480 Carpark Monitors Max 123 sensors BCD Display #1 Master Display Master Module Carpark Monitor Slave mode BCD Display #2 Master Module Carpark Monitor Master mode Bus L1 Bus L2

Carpark II Michele Brena Overview: System with PC Max 123 sensors Up to 480 Carpark Monitors Max 123 sensors Carpark Monitor Slave mode Master Module Carpark Monitor Master mode Bus L1 Bus L2 The PC software is monitoring all the ultrasonic sensors via the Master Modules (GP ) and showing the status of the sensors and displays graphically on the screen. Other functions include booking, alarm handling and statistical analysis (CG software under development). System does not depend on PC. RS485 Master Module

Carpark II Michele Brena Relevant Technical Data The Products GP X724, GP – Ultrasonic Sensor Ultrasonic sensor for detection of cars Available with red/green or red/blue LEDs (blue for handicapped) Available without LEDs for connection of external LEDs Up to 4m detection distance Extended temperature range –40 to 70 C Individual or global calibration (all at once in a network) Built-in Dupline 3-wire bus interface for sensor networking and power Easy coding with dedicated handheld carpark programming tool Fast and easy installation due to push-wire connectors for Bus-in and Bus-out terminals, no screwdriver needed Easy sensor replacement due to mounting in holder

Carpark II Michele Brena Relevant Technical Data The Products GP X – LED Indicator External LED Indicator controlled by sensor output Used in those cases where sensors with built-in LEDs are not visible from parking driveways Available with red/green or red/blue LEDs (blue for handicapped) Clear indication visible over long distance Fast and easy installation with pushwire connectors

Carpark II Michele Brena Relevant Technical Data The Products GP – Carpark Monitor Intelligent unit which can be configured to monitor a certain range of sensors addresses (an area of the carpark) Connected to external carpark display via RS485 for sending the number of free places to be displayed Linked to sensors via Dupline 3-wire bus (Bus L1) Upper level Dupline 2-wire bus interface (Bus L2) providing link between Direction Indicators enabling units in master mode to add together the number of free places in a larger area, e.g. an entire floor Option to include roof parking bays via counting system Early lane detection feature for faster updating of carpark users Easy programming via dedicated handheld carpark configuration tool Power Supply: VDC

Carpark II Michele Brena Relevant Technical Data The Products GP676301XX – Carpark displays Slave displays showing the number of free parking bays in a parking segment Flexible modular concept with several options Different number of digits Moving green arrow option Handicap sign option Text option Indoor / Outdoor option Displays are configurable via DIP-switches Power supply: 24 VDC

Carpark II Michele Brena Relevant Technical Data The Products GP – Carpark Configuration and Test Unit Handheld unit for configuration of Carpark Sensors and Carpark Monitors Test unit for carpark system, able to monitor status of sensors, simulate occupancy and initiate global calibration (several sensors at once) 2x20 character LCD display and keyboard with 12 tactile switches Fast and easy to use Powered from 9V battery

Carpark II Michele Brena The Product Features and Benefits Time saving – The users of busy Car Parks will save time and experience increased comfort and reduced stress Maximizing Productivity – The Car Park facility can be utilized more efficiently because free places can be sold faster, and new Car Parks can be planned with reduced loss of space for turning areas Minimize energy cost – Cars can drive 20% less in the parking facility thereby less energy is used for ventilation Simplified setup – Easy to install due to push-wire connections, no special cable, 3 wires only, simple rules for the wiring, easy setup and commissioning via handheld configuration unit TIME SAVINGMINIMIZE ENERGY COST MAXIMIZING PRODUCTIVITY SIMPLIFIED SETUP The Products

Carpark II Michele Brena The Product Features and Benefits Communication Capabilities – The parking guidance system can be interfaced to a PC for central monitoring, control and statistics Long term reliability – Based on Carlo Gavazzis industrial background, the products are designed for reliable operation over several years. Possibility to include other functions – The comprehensive Dupline product range for building automation makes it possible to integrate in the same system control and monitoring of lighting, ventilation, CO level, smoke detectors, movement detectors etc. COMMUNICATION CAPABILITIES The Products LONG TERM RELIABILITY

Carpark II Michele Brena The Market Relevant applications Car Park Guidance System The Car Park Guidance system lead the cars to the free parking bays by the shortest possible route. Displays are showing how many places are available in different sections of the Car Park, and each individual place has its own light indicator (visible from a distance) showing if the place is available or not. (Pictures taken at Dupline-based Norte Shopping parking guidance system with 2000 places, OPorto Portugal)

Carpark II Michele Brena Other Approvals Certifications - PG 010 According to EMC Directive 89/336/EEC: EN : Emission (Residential) EN : Immunity (Industrial) According to Low-voltage Directive 73/237/EEC EN : Low voltage switchgear and controlgear
