Syllabus In Action This syllabus uses thematic approach to integrate concept formation and skill development in children, and caters different kind of learners.
Different kind of learners Talker- Expressive, learns through talking. Mover --- Restless, learns from physical engagement. Watcher--- Quieter, learns from carefully watching. Walker--- Goal oriented,progresses from point to point. With-er--- Learns with others, sensitive to personal support.
Free Choice This allows the children time to settle down in the class and have a smooth home to school transition.
Outdoor Activity This a time to observe and interact with children as they play with outdoor equipments and make discoveries in nature around the play area.
Circle time This is a group time, sharing time and time to do things together and set the tone for the day. Where rules are reinforced and ideas and thoughts discussed and shared.
Theme Time Theme time connects the children to real life experiences, such as- hands on activities in which children are involved in art and craft, meet special visitors, role and imaginative play, work individually as well as interact in small and large groups.
Math Skill This is a time when children relate to the number activities. Children use numbers, sort explore patterns and shapes, solve problems, measure and respond to direction, order and position.
Language Skill During this time children are engaged in Listening, Speaking Reading and Writing activities.
Reflection Time This is large group activity led by a discussion or a sharing about how the day went and to recapitulate the important concepts learned.
