Fig 1 a, Laser Doppler flowmetry (LDF) measurement was performed on the pulp finger to obtain baseline skin blood flow (SBF). b, LDF measurement was performed on the pulp finger in the warming box (postwarming SBF). Fig 3 Flow of patients through the study. The index text was the postwarming laser Doppler flowmetry (LDF) measurement. Results were considered as abnormal when postwarming skin blood flow (SBF) was ≤206 arbitrary units (a.u.) and considered as normal when >206 a.u. according to receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve result. Arterial occlusive disease of the finger was present when arteriograms were graded 0, 1, and 2 and absent when arteriograms were graded 3 or 4. Fig 4 Receiving operator characteristic (ROC) curves for baseline skin blood flow (SBF), postwarming SBF, deltapostwarming SBF – baseline SBF, finger-brachial index, baseline pulp temperature, and postwarming pulp temperature to detect digital obstructive arterial disease (DOAD) grades 0, 1 and 2. The best area under the curve (AUC) was found for the postwarming LDF and was statistically different from the other tests (*).
