4 FOIPPA MAJOR THINGS TO REMEMBER You have access to private data that needs to be kept away from others. As such: · never leave your log in session unattended (lock your station) ·don't work with anyone looking over your shoulder. ·don't share your password FOIPPA – requires: passwords to change every 90 days BCeSIS will logout after 90 minutes inactive Password will disable for 90 on 3 failed logons SAVE OFTEN

5 Launching BCeSIS Video demonstration (Internet connection required) Using Any Browser Click the BCeSIS button on the SD67 Homepage Click on the Teacher button and choose your level BCeSIS Training Using Any Browser Click the BCeSIS button on the SD67 Homepage Click on BCeSIS Logon – center screen

6 Click to Log On If BCeSIS does NOT launch and users gets a White Screen only Uninstall Java Go to back to the BCeSIS logon Follow the prompts to reinstall Java… Watch the Fix It Process: VIDEO (Internet Connection Req.)

9 Teacher Assistant Main Screen Select Mark Entry to work on Report Cards

10 Enter all subjects student by student Enter by subject for all students Choose how you wish to enter marks

11 Click the Class you want to edit click Select button How to Enter by Student

12 First, select the reporting Term Work from Left to Right…

15 For Letter Grades or Performance Indicator Level 1.Click in the Mark area to activate blinking cursor 2.Type in the Letter Grade or Performance Level 3.Or click on the Performance/Effort Level button to select WeasleyRon8888

16 Note the performance indicator code numbers for Primary and K… Click the Performance/Effort Button to get this screen for Primary Intermediate will get authorized letter grade choices…

17 Double click in comment box to add comment. WeasleyRon8888

18 Type directly in the comments screen Copy/Paste to MSWord to Spell Check Comment Entry Screen Click OK when done

19 SAVE then move on… WeasleyRon8888

20 Click on the door whenever you want to leave a window Click on the floppy disc icon whenever you want to save your work.

21 Mark Entry by Class

22 Click this radio button to choose Class entry is excellent to copy/paste starter comments or copying the same performance level indicator to all your students….

23 Click the Class you want to edit click Select button

24 1. Choose the Term2. Choose the Grade

25 3. Choose the Subject Asterisk (*) only !! Be careful NOT to choose the titles (non-asterisk) They are NOT locked in this entry type…

26 4. Must Click Save to get to next subject

27 5. Click Term Comments to enter Work Habits & general comments on student (Note: Click on any subject to show student names to activate Term Comments button…)

28 Term Comments Entry Type in the bottom section Spell Check is disabled This Section is used for adding comments from a comment bank…

29 5. Check when subject is complete to help remind you and the office when done…

30 Click Reports to print a class set of report cards How to Print and/or Save A Class set of Report Cards

31 Select Report Card button

32 Select Student to print then Click printer icon How to Print and/or Save A Student Report Card

33 1. Select Report Card button 2. Print

34 Select Term to report Select Display School msg Print button Type of report card needed Set to Report Card & Both Sides and Term Comments For Class or Single Student Print Report Setup Screen

35 Select OK You may get a Security Alert Warning

36 Ron Weasley Report is a PDF File Proof read Save as Backup and/or Print using the top menu….

37 For Help: – click on BCeSIS then choose Teacher or Call: Dean Bates or Check with your school BCeSIS helping teacher or administrator
