14 Summary of results Bargaining coverage differs significantly between countries It peaks in the public sector (including education and health care) (PL being the exception) Peak coverages also in utilities and manufacturing (UK the exception in the latter) Higher wages under a collective agreement (NL and PL the exception) No significant differences in bargaining coverage by gender Significant gender pay gaps (by far the lowest in the UK)

15 Questions for further research
How does wage indicator bargaining coverage compare to data from other sources? Which factors may explain the huge differences in sectoral bargaining coverage between countries? How are our data influenced by a specific profile of the national sample? How to weight our data?
