Session Objectives We would like you to:- 1. Hear about learning styles in S2 Enrichment from Megan. 2.Learn from our seniors, Rachel and Jasper, how to find out about your own learning style. 3.Use an on-line learning styles questionnaire. 4.Spend a little time browsing the Learning and Teaching Scotland Study Support website. 5. Help us to evaluate what we do and tell us how we can improve.

VARK Learning Styles A stands for AURAL – you prefer listening: * discuss topics with others * discuss topics with your teachers * explain new ideas to other people * use a tape recorder * remember the interesting examples, stories, jokes * describe the overheads, pictures and other visuals to somebody who was not there * leave spaces in your notes for later recall and 'filling'
VARK Learning Styles R stands for READ/WRITE * lists * headings * dictionaries * glossaries * definitions * handouts * textbooks * readings (library) * notes * teachers who use words well and have lots of information in sentences and notes
