4 4 The international policy of the French-speaking Universities Two Commissions depending on CIUF Made up of representatives of 9 Universities Based on a geographical distinction : CUD (University Commission for Cooperation): Developing Countries CIRI (Interuniversity Commission for International Relationships): other Countries

5 5 The international policy of the French-speaking Universities CUD University Commission for Cooperation with Developing countries In charge of: Defining and implementing a common policy of Academic Cooperation with Developing Countries; Coordinating and managing public programmes of Cooperation with Developing countries; Promoting this cooperation towards Public Services and other key actors for development.

6 6 The international policy of the French-speaking Universities CUD University Commission for Cooperation with Developing countries Main programmes Institutional University Cooperation (CUI): support to reinforcing partner institutions Target Interuniversity Projects (PIC): support to research projects (individual or team projects) Scholarships for students or researchers of Developing countries Support to the organisation of training courses

9 9 The international policy of the French-speaking Universities CIRI Interuniversity Commission for International Relationships In charge of: Defining and implementing a common policy of Academic partnership with Emerging and Developed Countries; Sharing information and resources to support the international promotion of the Higher Education system of the French-speaking Community (teaching and research); Increasing the international attractiveness of the Universities of the French-speaking Community, in cooperation with political and administrative key actors.
