1 Description As Senior Human Resources Specialist you contribute to Starbucks' success by supporting partners regarding HR policies, processes and legal requirements. You will be part of a dedicated team of HR professionals offering in-depth expertise within the Human Resources arena. Close cooperation with the HR Manager, Benefits & Payroll Specialist and Senior Recruitment Specialist will establish a professional and reliable platform for our employees. Your key responsibilities As Senior Human Resources Specialist you ensure proactive support to employees in the Starbucks Amsterdam facility through professional advice and accurate administration of all HR policies and processes and local legal requirements. Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Support implementation of Human Resources strategic plans, tactics programs for client departments and manage tactical projects for a specific team within the business unit; Serve as an advocate on behalf of employees or a specific team or department within the business unit. Solicit and listen to employees' concerns and take an active role in resolving problems; Provide information, or facilitate employees' ability to obtain information, about benefits, compensation, training and other Human Resources programs and services; Provide consultation and support to managers on employee relations issues and applicable company policies and employment laws with guidance from the Human Resources Manager; Collaborate with C&B and payroll specialist to ensure accurate payroll & benefits administration; Collaborate with corporate recruiter to ensure that Starbucks selects employees who will best meet departmental and company needs; Support the global relocation process; liaise with International relocation vendor, Expat centre, Global assignments team and relevant generalists to support smooth relocation of all employees; Control of HR administration and process to ensure accuracy; Manage sick leave process and liaise with ARBO, employees and managers; Provide HR metrics and analysis to the business as required; Responsible for ongoing improvement for HR processes, including description and documentation, HR SME & super user for the HRIS system. Qualifications The qualified Senior HR Specialist we're looking for has a Bachelor degree in HR and at least 5 years of HR experience, preferably in an international organization. Must haves: Excellent understanding of the Dutch labor law (developments), up to date Dutch tax, social security regulations and requirements. Excellent attention to detail Positive can-do attitude Customer focused Able to see and understand consequences of actions Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines Analytical skills and the ability to construct HR reports Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Creativity, flexibility and adaptable to change Result oriented and pragmatic approach Fluent in Dutch and English, both orally and in writing
