Overview of Fixed Cellular Technology

Fixed Cellular Terminals (FCTs) Also known as GSM Gateways or Premicells What do they do? FCTs route Landline to Mobile calls via the GSM Network to enable users to benefit from cheaper calling.

How do FCTs work? Network Provider Mobile Phone Office Telephone Average of 12p per minute *Typical examples only. Subject to fixed line and mobile operators tariffs

How do FCTs work? Network Provider Mobile Phone Office Telephone Average of 9p per minute *Typical examples only. Subject to fixed line and mobile operators tariffs FCT 4.5p per minute*

Some of the features available on 2N FCTs Pass Thru – We can install on to Analogue, ISDN2 and ISDN30 lines as a Pass thru device. No PBX programming or capacity required. Interim Disaster Recovery – We can offer resilience by enabling a secondary route out for landline to landline calls in case of PSTN / ISDN / ADSL failure SIM Management – This enables us to stop using SIMS to route calls when the bundled minutes have been used up – No expensive, out of bundle, X-Net minutes to worry about. Automatic Network SIM update – When Mobile Network Operators send SMS updates to their SIMS they often require a SIM reset or even take the SIM offline rendering it useless until rebooted. 2N PRI devices are Network SIM update compatible.

The Benefits of Dial-thru PBX PSTN

The Benefits of Dial-thru No dedicated ports on the PBX required Often no PBX programming required as routing carried out by FCT PBX 2N FCT PSTN GSM All calls to Mobiles All calls to Landline

The Benefits of Dial-thru No dedicated ports on the PBX required Often no PBX programming required as routing carried out by FCT Disaster Recovery solution (PRI) on PSTN Failure PBX 2N FCT PSTN GSM All calls automatically route via GSM

EasyGate - Analogue Dedicated Connects to a dedicated analogue trunk port on PABX Takes 1 SIM Card so enables 1 call Basic entry level product particularly sold to very small companies who want cheap unmanaged solution

SmartGate - Analogue Pass Thru Can sit pass thru on an analogue line before it reaches the PBX Can connect to dedicated FXO or FXS port Takes 1 SIM Card so enables 1 call Sold to small companies who use up to 1200 mins landline to mobile a month

Multi-port Analogue Omikron - Analogue Up to 8 Lines Monitored Up to 8 Ports (concurrent calls) Up to 8 SIMS Dial-thru feature SIM Management

BRI FCT ISDN2 T or S Bus Up to 2 Ports (Concurrent calls) Up to 2 SIMS Dial Thru Feature SIM Management

VoIP (SIP) VoiceBlue Lite (SIP) VoiceBlue Enterprise (SIP / H.323) 2 or 4 Ports (simultaneous calls) 2 or 4 SIMS SIM Management SMS Capability on Voice Blue Enterprise Sits as a static IP Address on the LAN

BlueTower Entry-level PRI (ISDN30e) FCT Modular from 2 – 8 Ports Up to 32 SIMS Up to approx 14,000 mins a month SIM Management LAN Connectivity Lite version available (Max 2 Ports) Disaster recovery function Automatic Network SIM update

BlueStar Modular up to 16 Ports Up to 64 SIMS Up to Approx 60,000 mins a month SIM Management LAN Connectivity Rack mountable Disaster recovery function Automatic Network SIM update

StarGate Modular up to 32 Ports Up to 256 SIMS Up to Approx 250,000 mins a month SIM Management LAN Connectivity Rack mountable IP Version available Disaster recovery function Automatic Network SIM update

Recommended Minutes per month : Ports Up to4,000 mins:2 ports 4,000 -6,000 mins:4 ports 6,000 -9,000 mins:6 ports 9,000 -14,000 mins:8 ports 14,000 -20,000 mins:10 ports 20,000 -30,000 mins:12 ports 30,000 -45,000 mins:14 ports 45,000 -60,000 mins:16 ports

3 Core questions The type of FCT to be supplied can be determined by the following information… Type of connectivity (ISDN2, ISDN30 etc) Volume of current landline to GSM traffic existing expenditure from landline to mobile (this enables us to present an ROI) Signal Strength site survey available on request.

Examples 1 Customer using 6,000 minutes / month @ 9p Current monthly call charge£ 540.00 Current analogue lines x 2£ 28.00 Current monthly total£ 568.00 Proposed 6,000 minutes£ 138.00 Kit lease £ 130.00 Monthly saving£ 300.00

Examples 2 Customer using 10,000 minutes / month @ 9p Current monthly call charge £ 900.00 Current analogue lines x 4£ 56.00 Current monthly total£ 956.00 Proposed 10,500 minutes£ 246.00 Proposed lines and equipment£ 200.00 Total monthly cost£ 446.00 Monthly saving£ 510.00

Examples 3 Customer using 50,000 minutes / month @ 9p Current monthly call charge £ 4,500.00 Current analogue lines x 17£ 238.00 Current monthly total£ 4,738.00 Proposed 51,000 minutes£ 1,157.00 Proposed lines and equipment£ 1,100.00 Total monthly cost£ 2,257.00 Monthly saving£ 2,481.00
