19 Student Illness STUDENT must contact professor if: – Sick – Accident – Appointment Contact via , telephone, or through Divisional Office Follow professors directions as posted on course syllabus Call Vice President of Students (ext. 2150) to send a message to professor

20 Changing a Course AFTER Registration ADD/DROP All students should be registered in their courses by the end of the first week of classes. Add/Drop period is scheduled at the start of each semester. ADD: to add a course after Add/Drop period requires instructors written approval & may be subject to other limitations. DROP: student may withdraw from a course at any time before end of tenth week of classes & will receive a W on transcript: Consult with an advisor, Obtain signatures of instructor & advisor on Change of Schedule form, Return completed Change of Schedule form to the Enrollment Center. Students are cautioned that grades of W will lower the S.C.R. & will place student at risk for probation or dismissal.

21 Release of Student Information BCC designates the following categories of student information as public or Directory Information & such information may be disclosed for any purpose, at its discretion: Category 1: Name, address, telephone number, dates of attendance, class; Category 2: Previous institutions attended, major field of study, awards, honors, degree(s) conferred (including dates); Category 3: Past & present participation in officially recognized sports & activities, physical factors (height, weight of athletes), date & place of birth.

22 Student Record Disclosure Students may consent to full disclosure of academic & financial information to another person or agency. In doing so the student authorizes the institution to release information to an individual identified by the student in writing. Student must submit a Student Record Disclosure Form to the office of the Registrar. Forms are available in the Enrollment Center located in the Commonwealth College Center, or the Attleboro and New Bedford campuses.
