TO REPLACE THE BACKGROUND IMAGE:
Select the image, right-click and select the Change Picture option
Locate and select the new picture and click the Insert button
With the picture selected, use the Crop tools (in the Picture Tools context tab) to re-size the picture within the page boundary.
TO MAKE THE BACKGROUND IMAGE BLACK & WHITE:
With the picture selected, in the Picture Tools context tab, click the Colour button. Under the Recolour thumbnails click the Greyscale option (usually top-row, second from left).
