Scope of the moduleScope of the moduleThe objective of Qguar TMS is to support following processes:planningdeliverycost calculation and allocation√clearing with clients and subcontractors of transport services
Target clientsTarget clientsQguar TMS is designed for the following types of companies: Logistic Service Providers (3 PL’s)Manufacturing and trading companies that organize transport by themselvesTransport companies√

Fundamental principles Sources of Dispatching Orders:√primary: warehouse- shipment, delivery; transport needs of others secondary: further stages of transport, e.g.: from Hub to end recipientDispatching Orders may be entered at various locations, e.g.:√Central Office and Hubs, may be visible and performed by more than one dispatch manager, managing means of transport individually...Loads recorded in Dispatching Orders√may be distributed, grouped and assigned to routes, so as to minimize dispatching costs, while observing the transport and reception conditions ( e.g. chilled, GPS, ADR, date of collection etc).Managing Transportation Network√Considering Hubs on optimisation of transports. Dispatch managers at Hubs organize dispatching referring to their reloading station by themselves.

Business Processes and Events (1) Business Processes and Evands (1)Managing SLAs (Service Level Agreements) with clientsManaging SLAs with subcontractors (means of transport owners)Sophisticated process integration with WMS softwarePlanning transport routes validation of transport conditions (continuous and on request) (e.g. the total weight of assigned loads, delivery at a specified date/time,compatibility with requirements for loading, transport and unloading)Route planning - assignment of transport type, drivers, vehicles, sending a “transport order” to (subcontractors),Route confirming to paperwork (load lists, manifests etc)√
Business Processes and Events (2) Business Processes and Evands (2)Modifications of planned and approved routes as reactions to unexpected transport events (no opportunity to collect goods from warehouse, prolongation of transport time, accident – the route can not be continued etc.)Proof of delivery and closure of executed transport routesPreparation of data for encumbering invoices for sold transport servicesCost calculation of sold transport services, i.e.: routes clearingElements of fleet managementElements of drivers management√
Supported documents √ √ Input document ► dispatching order ( primary and secondary )► sLAs with clients► sLAs with subcontractorsOutput documents√► secondary dispatching order► load list► manifest► transport order (for subcontractors performing transports)► reports - data for sales invoice for delivered transport services► reports – data for purchase invoice for ordered transport services
Basic Terms and Objects Dispatching order√is the order to perform transport of goods (calculated into load units), their delivery at a specified date and time, at a specified place, to a specified recipient, not necessarily transported by the same means of transportCompound dispatching order√is the set of Dispatching Orders, typically having the same common feature, like: the same ordering customer, the same, common price, …Transport√is an item on the waybill and is a transport order, using an assigned means of transport, for a specified quantity of load units loaded (e.g.: pallets ), transported at the same time, locations, dates and times of their loading and unloading.Route√is one way of one means of transport, having 1 start, 0..n intermediate stations and 1 end, at each station it is possible to load and unload the load units, the route executes 1..n transports assigned to it, as entire or partial dispatching order.

Possible integration with other systems Recipient system (Proof of Delivery) in order to confirm load exit, goods receiving, reception receipt,...GIS systems cooperating with digital maps concerning route display, (city plans, addresses) and their optimisationLoad tracking systemInformation systems on other loads to be carried, including return loadsSystems of other dispatching companies, for single use of alien means of transport or finding a supplement load√
IT Environment √ Server: Windows NT/2000/XP, Solaris, IBM AIX, Linux Work stations : Windows NT/2000/XPDatabase: ORACLE√Citrix / MS Terminal Services 2003
Next versions... √ Automatic route / load generation Templates of dispatching orders realizationPeriodic (cycle) dispatching orders / routes√own PODImproved internet module for inputting dispatching ordersTracking and balance settlement of return units ( pallets, trays, bottles,… )Support for route planning optimising
Advantages of TMS solution strait integration with other Qguar products, particularly with Warehouse Management System, supporting two different schemas: WMS or TMS precedence, homogeneous GUI, uniform architecture and technology,√central, remotely accessed database system, with:√► control of transport demands and limitations when planning routes► coordination of route planning between Hubs► simplicity of administrationprecise clearing of transport services, both: purchased and sold√
