Most computer displays are XGA and WXGA resolutions
Another dominant resolution is SXGA+
Most notebook displays are of 18bpp color depth
Most desktop monitors are of 24bpp color depth
The HD resolution used in TVs is close to WUXGA, which is also at least 24bpp.
