3 Correcting a Minor Error These can be done anytime, DDM must be satisfied the legal requirements are met and further consultation is not required Revised order should replace order on website Agreement holders should be sent copy of the revised order

4 Minor variation to the order Generally as a result of need to refine the intent of the original order DDM must still be satisfied the variation –Meets the legislative requirements –does not materially change the original order –does not materially change affect on agreement holders –FN consultation has been done –Send to agreement holders to confirm Rationale to be prepared and filed with amended order Post varied order on web

5 Major variation to the order Needed when government acts on new information Could have material effect or pose undue constraint on tenure holders Treat as if new government action with review and comment, FN consultation and demonstrate tests have been met

6 Canceling the order Applies to canceling of the whole order Often used when replacing an order by another Notify public and agreement holders Affected agreement holders need to amend their operational plans

7 Exemptions Consider using exemptions instead of varying/ cancelling an order DDM needs to be satisfied compliance with the order is not practicable
