USE Actions that are happening at the same time you are speaking ( acciones que ocurren en el momento de hablar). EXAMPLES HES READING A BOOK NOW THEYRE COMING TO MY HOUSE AT THIS MOMENT Pay attention to the purple words, they are adverbs of time for the Present Continuous ( las palabras purpura son advervios de tiempo para el continuo)

SPELLING RULES WHEN ADDING -ING General rule: we add –ing to the infinitive verb Examples: go/going, read/reading,meet/meeting Verbs ending in consonant + e, omit final e Examples: live/ living, write/ writing, … Monosyllabic verbs ending CVC (consonant+ vowel+ consonant) double the last consonant. Examples: stop/stopping, put/putting, swim/swimming Verbs with two or more syllables ending CVC

Verbs with two or more syllables ending CVC double the last consonant. Examples: refer/ referring, occur/ocurring,… Verbs ending in –ie, change this end for –y adding –ing. Examples: die/dying Verbs ending in –y, do not change the –y. Examples: try/trying, play/playing
