In the case of project "Fears and hopes of young people in Europe", on the technics lesson was made a lesson named "Trash hills". Students were discussing about their apprehensions connected with inception of waste in household. They've made decision to make posters which show all of the problems connected with inception of waste and wrong storage of them, and urge on to segregation of waste. Those posters will be exhibited on the school lane.
Within the framework of Fears and hopes of young people in Europe project 3BB high school class talked about natural disasters on two lessons with the form-master (5.02.2009, 12.02.2009). The topic of these lessons was Be more secure. On the first lesson students were separated into 5 groups, every group got questions to answer: group I – building disasters, group II – frosts and blizzards, group III – windstorms and fires, group IV – heat and sunstrokes, group V – flood. When the answers were prepared, the teacher asked students to announce them to the rest of the class. Group-mates were complementing their colleagues statements and the teacher said about tips and advices from special guidebook titled Be more secure.
On the second lesson students in 2 groups prepared posters about heat and frost with definitions and dangers connected with heats and frosts. They also added some informations from the Internet and conclusions from the previous lesson to the posters. Of course they didnt forget about layout. On 23th March 2009 in Centrum Kształcenia Sportowego the Czar par contest was organized. In that day the spring was welcomed in our school. Each class was represented by a group of students who answered the questions from several domains.
A t our school the teachers conducted lessons about evacuation from school in case of critical situations, such as fire, terrorism threat, biological attacks and flood. O n PO lessons we are learning how to help people wounded in accidents or terrorist attacks. S ome of the lessons were devoted the 11 September 2001. During the lessons we were trying to show, how the attack on 11 September was prepared (from another point of view). T he number of activities concerning this area is not that huge at our school as the results of the survey show, that students are not afraid of terrorism. W hile Poland doesnt have problems with terrorism In Poland there are not so many emigrants and ethnic minorities. However Polish army is involved in wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
