2 Fig 1 Change in aggression score as derived from the PSE at the beginning and the end of a 12-week, double-blind treatment trial comparing effectiveness of nortriptyline, fluoxetine, and placebo in treating aggression after stroke. Active versus placebo analysis did not show a significant time-by-treatment interaction. Patients who responded to treatment of depression, however, showed a significantly greater decline in aggression scores than did patients who did not respond to treatment (F1,14=5.61, P=.033).
