Example to discuss: Alberto wants to buy flowers for his girl friend. He goes to the flower shop and they charge him \$42 for 2 dozen roses. He finds it expensive so he goes to the gift shop and they charge him \$50 dollars for 3 dozen roses. Find the unit price, then determine which option is the better buy. Steps: 1. Write the rate from the problem. 2. Find the unit rate. 3. Circle the option that is the better buy. \$42 = ?
