1 March 2017 Project: IEEE P Working Group for Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPANs) Submission Title : Light Maker ID based Collision Avoidance on Vehicle Date Submitted : September 2017 Source : Jaesang cha (SNUST), Vinayagam Mariappan (SNUST), Soonho Jung (SNUST), Suhyung Cho (Hans ENS Co., Ltd.), Kirhyong Kim (Seil Technologies Co., Ltd.) Address : Contact Information: , FAX: , Re : Abstract : This documents introduce the V2X/V2V communication model for vehicle collision avoidance methods for Vehicular Assistant Technology (VAT). This proposed VAT LiFi/CamCom technology can provide the vehicle safety controlled driving assistance using LED light marker on static and dynamic objects. Purpose : To provide conceptual models of Vehicle LiFi/CamCom Technology for VAT Interest Group Notice: This document has been prepared to assist the IEEE P It is offered as a basis for discussion and is not binding on the contributing individual(s) or organization(s). 3 Vehicle Usages and Collision Causes
Transportation of Light and Heavy Weight Raw Materials Moving Production Unit process elements from one process to another process Carrying very heavy cargo or carrying explosives Collision Causes Physical injury to human or life death Blocks the section to section movements Halts the productions Expensive and create loss in business Slide 3

4 Light Marker ID on Static/Dynamic Objects for Collision Avoidance
V2V Using Light Marker ID on Static Objects to avoid collision Moving Object Like Man, Vehicles equipped with Light Marker Tag to provide Location Information and Driving Assistive Information Vehicle built-in with Camera to process the Light Marker ID and Connected to the server to get location specific Information Vehicle movements and directions automatically controlled with decoded Light Marker ID information and avoid the collision V2I Using Light Marker ID on Static Objects to avoid collision Static Object Like Walls, Pillars, Machines equipped with Light Marker Tag to provide Location Information and Driving Assistive Information Vehicle built-in with Camera to process the Light Marker ID and Connected to the server to get location specific Information Vehicle movements and directions automatically controlled with decoded Light Marker ID information and avoid the collision Slide 4

5 Conclusions LiFi/CamCom Collision avoidance VAT technology provide autonomous driving assistance for vehicle without damaging the environment or injury to human. Does not required additional infrastructures to avoid vehicle collision avoidance technology. LiFi/CamCom vehicle communication with Light Marker ID based V2I and V2V provides safety enabled automatic vehicle driving assistance for the future VAT application. Slide 5
