Cliparts load faster. –Pictures cant be protected and could show up where you dont want them!

9 Phase IV-Implement & Publishing Decide whether to develop the site in- house or have it developed professionally Decide whether to develop the site in- house or have it developed professionally –Remember, ultimately someone in-house will have to update it. –There are numerous tricks in good web development so a few choice classes from the Community College is money well spent If you have software that you are use to and that can do the job - USE IT! 10 Phase V - Promotion Continue the Marketing Plan - Advertise Continue the Marketing Plan - Advertise –Do Press Releases, Presentations, the Web Masters you link to, Bookmarkers, put your address on your business cards, flyers, publications, brochures, correspondence, etc. –Make your Homepage the default on the web browser of the Law Library & Staff computers. –Add a message to your automated voice mail system. 20 Pictures on the Web Every Picture you see on a website is downloadable and adds to the download time of the page that it is located on. Also if you use Judges pictures, dont be surprised if they show up on a website that doesnt agree with a judgment of theirs - including their address, phone # and directions to their house. 22 Current Status Overview of progress Overview of progress –Site online with no downtime. Completed first year with over 36,000 visitors worldwide. Now average 580,000 a month –Updates and Additions - ONGOING! Unexpected delays or issues during the Project Unexpected delays or issues during the Project –Getting the Domain Name - First court in the state to ask for a dedicated Judicial Website. We needed collaboration between the State CMS Department and Chief Justice of the Illinois Supreme Court
