3. PURPOSE OF THE QUESTIONNAIRE
Reminding all MAs about their duty (and great opportunity) to implement transnational actions within ESF
Make MAs discuss and plan implementation of transnationality within their OPs – gathering formal declarations
Better coordination of transnational calls across all Member States on EU level (Coordinated Call 2018 and all other calls within flexible approach)
Indentifying main challenges
Planning necessary assistance to Managing Authorities (capacity building seminars, individual coaching etc.)

10. 8 Member States (11 OPs) have declared participation in 2018 coordinated call  more partnerships, more projects, more impact
16 Member States will allow and finance transnational projects (coordinated calls, flexible calls, TNC component)  bigger scope of partner search
20 MAs (15 MSs) interested in joining the Impact Task Force  possibility to overcome the MSs difficulties (mostly technical) and maybe get on board even more MSs, creating the evidence of the added value of TNC
CONCLUSIONS

11. NEXT STEPS AND CHALLENGES
Agree the timetable and ToR for coordinated call 2018 (the survey showed little differences among some MSs)
Mapping of flexible calls and national calls with possible TNC component (they are also potential partners for coordinated call beneficiaries!)
Spread the news in regions, so that project promoters are aware of the possibility to add TN component to their projects and TO MAKE USE OF OUR PARTNER SEARCH DATABASE !!
FOR MSs IT’S TIME TO MOVE FROM DECLARATION TO ACTIONS!
FOR ESF TN PLATFORM IT’S TIME TO SET UP THE IMPACT TASK FORCE!
NEXT STEPS AND CHALLENGES

12. IMPACT TASK FORCE The role:
Establishing the timetable and terms of reference for coordinated call 2018
Monitor flexible calls and calls with possible TNC component  share their timetables on the TNC website
Engage geo-desks, co-operate with all Thematic Networks and build synergies with other TNC initiatives (macro-regional strategies etc.)
Assist MSs in implementation of TNC, monitor the outcomes
Prepare recommendations for transnationality after 2020
Next steps:
Send out technical dossier on implementation of the TNC calls to all ESF MAs
Organising another capacity-building seminar (end of February/beginning of March?)
Providing individual coaching (by request from MS)
