EDITOR DESCRIPTION A film or video editor is responsible for assembling raw material into a finished product suitable for broadcasting. The material they work with may consist of raw camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects.
AVERAGE SALARY The average salary of a Video Editor is $50,000. This is 32% lower than the average of all jobs
JOB DEMANDS Knowledge of many editing software programs Such as Avid, Final Cut, as well as others Creative mind to take a lot of raw footage and turn it into a final, well developed, product.

MY INTEREST My goal as a Video Editor is to master the creation of final video productions from raw footage. I also want to be able to combine work with After Effects into these productions The combination of editing clips combined with the addition of special effects would be my ideal job.
