2 SATs Standard Assessment Tests based on the childrens age and in comparison to other children of the same age in all schools in which the English and Welsh Curriculum is taught. We recognise that the majority of our students have English as a second language and tests take account of this. 2Nigel Kynaston

3 The Data In May 2013, the Year 6 pupils will take tests in English, Maths and Science and they will be given a level of attainment based on the results. 3Nigel Kynaston

4 The Data In May 2013, the Year 6 pupils will take tests in English, Maths and Science and they will be given a level of attainment based on the results. For Key Stage 2, the levels are – Below Level 3 – Level 3 – Level 4 – Level 5 4Nigel Kynaston

5 The Data Each Level can be divided into 3 sub-levels of a, b and c with a being the highest. – Below Level 3 – Level 3c, 3b, 3a – Level 4c, 4b, 4a – Level 5c, 5b, 5a 5Nigel Kynaston

8 The Prediction Children who get Level 3 in KS2 SATs are predicted to get grades E and F at IGCSE. Children who get Level 4 in KS2 SATs are predicted to get grades C and D at IGCSE. Children who get Level 5 in KS2 SATs are predicted to get grades A*, A and B at IGCSE. 8Nigel Kynaston

9 History The School uses the results to determine whether a child can be offered a place in the Secondary School (year 7) Last year the Entrance requirement for the Secondary School was Level 3a in English, Maths and Science This year it will be Level 4c 9Nigel Kynaston
