Raised money for human rights & social justice via Guest at Your Table program Were involved in Harmony for Humanity peace rally Participated in Earth Day 2008 Demonstrated to have Burger King raise the wages of tomato pickers, signed petitions, and otherwise supported the Coalition of Immokalee Workers.

4 What has UUCFL done for the public in Broward County? Hosted homeless families for the Coalition to End Homelessness and the Interfaith Hospitality Program. Carried a banner for Marriage Is a Civil Right at the Stonewall Street Parade Participated in World AIDS Day Shabbat

5 What has UUCFL done for the public in Broward County?. Housed the Womens Sacred Saturday workshop and concert Hosted Labyrinth Café (folk music concerts) Sponsored concerts jazz and chamber music Maintained a labyrinth for meditations and workshops

6 Where has UUCFL participated in the larger UU community? Southeast Unitarian Universalist Summer Institute (SUUSI) Southeast Winter Institute in Miami (SWIM) Southeast Cluster Connections Workshop and meeting Florida District Annual Assembly.

Passed Actions for Immediate Witness: End present day slavery in the fields Filled District General Assembly 2008 Coordinator and other leadership and support roles. Oppose the California and Florida Marriage Protection Initiatives

8 What has UUCFL done for adult religious education? Class on Articulating Your UU Faith Class on play reading Class for new member orientation. Cinema Nirvana sessions on mainstream films with moral, ethical, and spiritual themes

Watched Control Room documentary on media-gathering process in Iraq Watched Iconoclasts TV episode with Mike Myers and Deepak Chopra discussing humor as part of spiritual life Watched Big Ideas for a Small Planet TV series concerning recycling, resource conservation, and creating sustainable products.
