Information Session for 1 st year to 2 nd year transition Helyn Gould Vice Dean Academic
Between 25th April and the end of the current semester you are being asked to select your provisional curriculum for next session. If you do not have an approved curriculum, you will NOT be able to register on-line in September and your registration may be delayed. Remember this curriculum is provisional, you can make amendments in September after you register. Advisors of Studies are available to give general advice on how to structure your curriculum. Subject Advisors are available to give advice on selection of classes.
From 25 th April 2014 you can download a handout giving your choices (e.g. BA in Business - Choices for second year). http://www.strath.ac.uk/business/undergraduate/currentstudents /provisionalcurriculum/, http://www.strath.ac.uk/business/undergraduate/currentstudents /provisionalcurriculum/ If you are unsure about which classes to take and need further information, you can see the Subject Advisor in that subject area. SBS Departments will be holding drop-in sessions following this meeting and over the next few days within the department – please see our handout which gives further details.

Although the structure of the degree is based around two principal Business subjects, its a good idea to take a Semester 1 class in a third subject as your minor class – this would enable change of principal subject at end of Semester 1 of second year. If you are taking a non-business subject (Psychology, Mathematics, Business Law or Languages), Subject Advisers can be contacted in each department for advice. See handout.
