My goal is for you is not only to be informed but to be able take this knoweldge and use it in your projects. A requirement for any construction project funded through HUD where contracts are written for more than $100,000. Section 3 provides, to the greatest extent feasible, opportunities for very low, low income individuals and businesses that are owned by or employ very low, low income individuals Section 3 has been enforce since 1968 HUD funded construction projects over $100,000 (CDBG, CDBG-R, NSP and NSP2) To the greatest extent feasible, not every job will require hiring new employees.
