9 Consider the Coney What the coney isn’t: What the coney is: The coney
Powerful What the coney is: Wise – because he knows where to stay The coney Cute, cuddly, soft But burrows among the rocks when predators are near

10 Consider the Coney Our best attributes can be our biggest liabilities
The coney is aware of its own weaknesses It realizes it must depend on something greater than itself for safety and security Are you aware of your weaknesses? What sins trouble you? What gets you sidetracked? What thoughts hound you?

11 Consider the Coney The coney goes to the ROCK! Do you?
Our main temptation: “I can do it alone!” What we really need is God Psalm 62:6-7 “He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge.”

12 Consider the Locust

13 Consider the Locust What they don’t have: What they do have: Locusts:
A king What they do have: Wisdom – they know there is strength in numbers Locusts: Swarms from 1/3 to several hundred sq. miles A large swarm consumes 20,000 tons/day

14 Consider the Locust If the church unites
We are too great a force to be reckoned with John 17 We would be one as He and the Father are one Put aside differences for the sake of Christ God is about His people working together 1 Corinthians 12:4-6 “There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men.”

15 Consider the Lizard

16 Consider the Lizard What lizards are: But notice this:
Easy to catch, small, insignificant But notice this: Although they can be caught in the hand (this means they are small and unimpressive) They find there way into the greatest places on earth Lizards never stop growing

17 Consider the Lizard Are you continuing to grow?
In your relationships In your employment situation In your attitudes If not, let God do some surgery on you If you never get rid of the junk in your life That junk will consume you!

18 Consider the Lizard Do you have aspirations?
Do you believe in yourself? God believes in you! Jesus said: “I have chosen you and appointed you” 1 Peter 2:9: We are a “chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light”
