Diffusible compound-mediated antifungal activity of Pseudomonas corrugata strain CFBP 5454 or P. mediterranea strain CFBP 5447 and derivative mutants in LuxR transcriptional regulators impaired in CLP production 15 days post inoculation on potato dextrose agar (PDA) and on King’s B medium (KB). The plates inoculated with either P. corrugata strains, P. mediterranea strains or the control plates containing only the fungal isolates, are included in the same column as indicated above in the figure. The bacterial strains were inoculated always in the same position as reported in the scheme: (1) either P. corrugata CFBP 5454 or P. mediterranea CFBP 5447 wild type strain; (2) either GLRFIA (P. corrugata rfiA mutant) or PSRFIA (P. mediterranea rfiA mutant); (3) either GLRFIAC (P. corrugata rfiA mutant complemented in trans) or PSRFIAC (P. mediterranea rfiA mutant complemented in trans); (4) GL2 (P. corrugata pcoR mutant) or PSMER (P. mediterranea pmeR mutant).
