3 Introduction and Explanation of SSGWiki
What is Wiki? Wiki wiki comes from the Hawaiian term for 'quick' or 'super-fast' ; Wiki-wiki What good is a wiki? A website is a read-only medium, anyone can edit Wiki A way to use and access knowledge that is up-to-date and tended by a community Easy to use, like Word A project truly owned across all SSG

4 How SSGWiki can improve communication, knowledge retention, and collaboration between SSG services
Collaborative documents - brainstorming Knowledge across all SSG not just tied to a campus - not just a shared drive Hate 10,000 s with great info you’ll never find again? Easy to search Communication happens in real time. Once you save a page, it’s there - history of pages kept

5 Where is it? What does it look like?

6 I want to add / edit a page in the SSGWiki.

7 10 Things to enhance your SSG working experience:
I want to add / edit a page in the SSGWiki. I want to let everyone know that a procedure has changed in our area. I want to post a picture / upload a document I just received an that I think everyone would be interested in. I want to know what pages have been updated this week. I own (i.e., a couch, a book, a chair, an old bookcase, mixing bowls, could be anything) I would like to post on SSGFreecycle and give away. I want (i.e., a couch, a book, a chair, an old bookcase, mixing bowls, could be anything) and would like to post a request on SSGFreecycle and pick up. I came across an acronym that I use daily that I thought might be useful information for other SSG staff to know about. I’m going to a meeting at (e.g., Brunswick) and want to know of good restaurants in the area for lunch before I go back to my campus. I want to work on a document/ project with my SSG colleagues but we’re all on different campuses, what can I do? I’ve thought of a new way to use SSGWiki and I’d like to let others know about it.

You may only upload documents, .pdf, and image files. It is recommended that files are less than 150kb in size, but you are able to upload larger files if necessary. The SSGWiki does not support uploading several files types (e.g., .xls, .mp3 or .mp4), however you may make direct links to these types of files (means they must live on the web somewhere else and you link to those files).

32 SSG Freecycle Open to all SSG Staff who want to "recycle" that special something rather than throw it away. Whether it's a chair, a fax machine, piano or an old door, feel free to post it. One constraint: everything posted must be FREE -- you simply post an offering on the SSG Freecycle page. Or, maybe you're looking to acquire something yourself. Simply respond to a posted offer or post a request, and you just might get it. After that, it's up to the giver to decide who receives the gift and to set up a pickup time for passing on the treasure. Our main rule: Everything posted must be free, legal, and appropriate for all ages.
