Is Laser Scar removal the Answer?  Non-Ablative Laser Resurfacing  During this type of procedure an infrared skin laser is utilized in order to heat up the inner layers of skin while it does not touch the surface layers of the skin. This procedure promotes collagen growth as well as the production of new skin cells that will take the place of the damaged skin cells which are creating the scar. This procedure takes much less time to perform just fifteen to thirty minutes each time, and the recovery time is also much less. On the other hand, due to the fact that it takes time for new cells to generate it will take much more time before you actually see results.  Fractionated Laser Resurfacing  During this procedure tiny light beams are utilized to penetrate very deeply in the skin. This procedure help stimulate collagen growth in order to produce new skin cells.  Using this procedure is less invasive and requires very little to no recovery time at all. Many patients experience minor swelling and/or redness that fades away in just a few days. While this procedure is less invasive it also does not produce the same results as laser resurfacing.

What are the Procedures of Laser Scar Removal?  The lasers that are known as Er:YAG and CO2 are best when you are targeting acne scarring. The CO2 laser basically sandblasts your top layers of skin away, when this is used plan on some very substantial downtime for healing. The Er:YAG laser does pretty much the same thing as the CO2 laser but it is less ablative, meaning that there is less damage when this laser is used in the procedure.  There is also the 585-595-nm laser dye technology; this laser includes Candela and Cynosure lasers. This type of laser technology is mainly used in order to treat keloid and hypertropic scars. These lasers can be utilized with or without 5% 5-fluorouracil or steroid injections, both of which are used to flatten the appearance of scars. This type of laser procedure is considered to be non-ablative due to the fact that they do not actually burn off skin on the surface. Instead, these lasers actually target the tissues that lay under the surface skin in order to stimulate the growth of collagen. Another factor to choosing these lasers is that there is very little downtime for healing.

Get Softer, Smoother Skin with a Chemical Peel  When it comes to chemical peels, not only are you removing that old, dead skin from your face that you no longer want there anymore but you’re providing yourself with a way to look more younger and vibrant, which is what everyone wants. You want the fountain of youth and with the use of a chemical peel, so many have found that this is it. This provides them with the beautiful, soft, supple skin that they want.  The removal of the old dead skin helps the new, young, fresh skin cells begin to form and it allows them to open up and breathe, making your skin look and appear much younger because those top layers of old skin have been removed and gotten rid of. When this happens, you can then feel much softer and more comfortable than you have ever felt before.  The soft, smooth feeling of your skin should not be something that is causing you a lot of pain or hardship. Of course, it wouldn’t. This is why so many are now opting to go with something that helps remove that dry, dead skin that feels scratchy and wrinkly. With the new skin in place, it is tight, soft and comfortable.

How a Chemical Peel Helps with Scarring  It is important to think about the chemical peels that can be done on the scars. While the process is a bit longer and has some healing time involved, as well as being a bit more expensive, it is well worth it when trying to reduce the signs of scars anywhere on the body. It is one of the best methods for removing them and being able to feel a bit more confident when wearing something and not having to worry about the scar staring back at everyone or having people ask what happened.  When you want to reduce the signs of scars or fine lines, wrinkles and other areas where blemishes and other marks might be noticeable then chemical peels can provide the best way for you to remove these unsightly areas and ensure that you’re happy with the way your body looks in the end.  Scars are something we live with but if you can lighten them, then why wouldn’t you try to do so? This can be a great way to get out there and enjoy your body minus the scar, especially if a chemical peel is able to lighten it up in the end.

Getting Rid of your Scars Just May be Easier than you Think  Laser Scar Removal used for:  Excellent scar removal outcomes  Simple treatments with minimal discomfort  Quick, non-invasive procedure  Little to no recovery time  How Does this Procedure Work?  Unlike when you go to a hospital for a surgery, this type of procedure utilizes short pulses of micro-fine light lasers in order to reach deeply under the skins top layers. When this happens it ultimately treats the skin’s support structure. Then the skins natural healing process gets rid of any damaged, old tissue and it rebuilds the skin with new, fresh elastin and collagen. Elastin and collagen are the very critical building blocks of healthy normal appearing skin.
