S ERIAL S OLUTIONS Source for finding magazines How to Access Serials Solutions Go to Click on Research Databases at the bottom of the page On the right hand side under General Reference, Magazines and Newspapers click on Serials Solutions Type the name of the magazine you are looking for in the search bar. For instance: Consumer Reports. Look for the date range you want and click on that edition Voila!
A CADEMIC S EARCH P REMIER Finding articles relative to your subject Go to Under the Adult tab at the top of the page click on Resources at the top of the page Under Electronic Resources click on Research Databases. On the right hand side under General Reference, Magazines and Newspapers click on Academic Search Premier Type keywords of the subject you are looking for in the search bar. For instance: Greek Mythology You can limit your results to full text and peer- reviewed articles underneath the search bar. Click Enter. Voila!
SIRS D ISCOVERER Children’s specific database Full text articles Breaks down articles by category: Newspaper, Magazines, Reference, Graphics, & Websites Links to legitimate websites for further information. Go to Under the Children’s tab at the top of the page click on Resources at the top of the page Select the Alabama Virtual Library Link Under the Student Resources tab select Elementary School Then select SIRS Discoverer
L EARNING E XPRESS L IBRARY Connecting students with practice tests Learning Express Library requires a valid Jefferson County Library Cooperative library card AND it requires that the student set up a simple, free account to keep up with exams taken. How to Access ACT, SAT, AP Exam Preparation Go to Click on Resources at the bottom of the page Click on Research Databases under ELECTRONIC RESOURCES Click on Learning Express Library under SOCIAL SCIENCES, CAREERS, AND TESTS Click on College Preparation Choose which exam you’d like to practice Be awesome!

Request the book through Interlibrary Loan and get a copy from a library system outside of Jefferson County Under the Adult tab at the top of the page click on Resources at the top of the page Under Electronic Resources click on Research Databases. On the right hand side under General Reference, Magazines and Newspapers click on Serial Solutions or Worldcat.org
