Interactions with TLRs on innate immune cells, including DCs, alveolar macrophages, B cells, and others, are known to be an important link in these innate immune pathways that lead to enhanced TH1, suppressed TH2, and induced T-regulatory responses. Both TH1 and regulatory T lymphocyte (Treg) cells can suppress TH2 cells and their mediators.
