Protagonist Michael Oher is the protagonist of this story. This true story about Michael Oher, taught me a lot. Taught me that nothing is impossible. Michael Oher has inspired me, with the challenges he faces, and by having some similar challenges, I was able to relate this story to my life.n
Favorite Character Leigh Anne Tuohy Le Anne Tuohy is the reason why Michael is who he is today. Le Anne wanted to be Michaels “mom”. She wanted to care for him, feed him, clothe him, love him.
Least favorite character NCAA lady The NCCA lady wanted to pin point the Tuohy family for bribing Mike Oher to go to Ole Miss. She believed the Tuohy’s were using there money to influence Mike Oher’s decisions. The NCAA wanted to prove that the Tuohy’s didn’t really love Michael, but was using Michael for fame and glory.

Social Issue Poverty and Racism are the two main social issues in the book.
Poverty Facts and statistics At least 80% of humanity lives on less than $10 a day. More than 80 percent of the world’s population lives in countries where income differentials are widening The poorest 40 percent of the world’s population accounts for 5 percent of global income. The richest 20 percent accounts for three-quarters of world income. According to UNICEF, 25,000 children die each day due to poverty. Around 27-28 percent of all children in developing countries are estimated to be underweight or stunted. Nearly a billion people entered the 21st century unable to read a book or sign their names. Infectious diseases continue to blight the lives of the poor across the world. An estimated 40 million people are living with HIV/AIDS, with 3 million deaths in 2004. Every year there are 350–500 million cases of malaria, with 1 million fatalities: Africa accounts for 90 percent of malarial deaths and African children account for over 80 percent of malaria victims worldwide.
Poverty Poem Poverty starts with a p and ends with a t. So many people are struggling, we all can see. Children die everyday, and more children are hungry every night. Lets help, and hope they sleep with a fulfilling bite. We can make this world a better place, by donating to them some food, from our storage case. A happier person they would all be, By helping them, and saying that it came from me
Poverty Music Oh why you look so sad The tears are in your eyes Come on and come to me now Don’t be ashamed to cry Let me see you through Cause I’ve seen the dark side too When the night falls on you You don't know what to do Nothing you confess Could make me love you less I’ll stand by you I’ll stand by you Won’t let nobody hurt you I’ll stand by you So if you're mad get mad Don’t hold it all inside Come on and talk to me now Hey, what you got to hide I get angry too Well I’m a lot like you When you're standing at the crossroads And don't know which path to choose Let me come along Cause even if you're wrong I’ll stand by you I’ll stand by you Won’t let nobody hurt you I’ll stand by you Take me in into you darkest hour And I’ll never desert you I’ll stand by you And when, when the night falls on you, baby You feeling all alone You won't be on your own I’ll stand by you
