How to register and enroll in your course

2. You Need:
You'll get some important s from your instructor at this address. Course ID: <insert appropriate Course ID> Access code or credit card: An access code card may be packaged with your new book or may be sold by itself at your bookstore. Otherwise, you can buy instant access with a credit card or PayPal account during registration.
Note to presenter: This slide is 100% consistent with all Pearson web portals and should not be adjusted.
If you haven’t already purchased your course materials you will need to do so today. To get started with Pearson MasteringAstronomy you will need a valid address. It should be an you have easy access to as you may receive important communication from your course instructor at this address. You also need the Course ID for the MasteringAstronomy course your instructor has assigned for the semester and the Course ID you will use to get started is _______. Please make note of this Course ID. You also need to have purchased access to MasteringAstronomy and you do this by purchasing an Access Code or buying instance access – let me explain this options in more detail.

3. Step 1
Go to and select Student under Register Now.

Step 1: Log onto MasteringAstronomy.com. Under the large Register Now section on the right side of the page, click the Student button.

4. Step 2
Confirm you have the information needed, then select OK! Register now.

Step 1: Log onto MasteringAstronomy.com. Under the large Register Now section on the right side of the page, click the Student button.

5. Step 3 Enter your instructor’s Course ID and choose Continue.

Step 1: Log onto MasteringAstronomy.com. Under the large Register Now section on the right side of the page, click the Student button.

6. Step 4
Enter your existing Pearson account username and password and select Sign in.
You have an account if you have ever used a Pearson MyLab & Mastering product, such as MyMathLab, MyITLab, MySpanishLab, or MasteringBiology.
If you don’t have an account, select Create and complete the required fields.

7. Step 5 Select an access option.
Enter the access code that came with your textbook or was purchased separately from the bookstore.
Buy access using a credit card or PayPal account.

8. Step 6 From the “You’re Done!” page, select Go to My Courses.

9. Step 7
Select Yes and enter your Course ID to join your course. Click Continue.

10. Step 8
If asked, enter your Student ID according to the instructions provided and click Continue. That’s it! You should see the Course Home page for the course.
