7 Travelling through this untouched wilderness with such variety and unspoiled scenery one feels as if there is no end to this piece of Africa. Together with the natural surroundings supporting the bird life and game species of Central Kalahari, a number of man-made waterholes have been built to supply a more permanent source of water in the area. Cheetah, brown hyena, leopard, lions, wild dogs and many antelope species visit the waterholes. Owls, Bateleur eagles, Lappet-faced vulture, white backed vultures as well as Secretary birds are among the bird species to be spotted in the surroundings.

8 Information Due to the Botswana government initiating plans to move tourists and tourism away from the Okavango and Chobe areas, to decrease the intensity of tourists in that area, this has created new opportunities for development. The government has allowed concessions for lodge construction as well as allowing for tourists to be flown in. These factors have provided the opportunity for the Eco Safari Lodge and Wildlife Sanctuary to be established for tourists to experience the various options made available.
