Prayer is simple, it is talking to God just like we would talk to a friend.
Prayer is powerful, when God answers prayer great things happen.

We can pray about anything but if we want some ideas for how to pray we can say thank you, sorry and please.
Thank you
We can thank God for the beautiful things we see in nature: sunsets, tall trees, cute kittens and so on. We can thank him for the things we enjoy and our friends and families.
Sorry
We can say sorry for the things we do wrong and know that God will immediately forgive us.
Please
We can ask him for things we need such as help, peace, encouragement, hope, joy. food and clothing. We can pray for people we love and ask God to help them.

11. Does God answer prayer?
Sometimes God says no because what we have asked for is not good for us. This can be seen as like the red traffic light.
Sometimes God says wait because he wants to give us what we have asked for later. This can be seen as like the amber traffic light.
Sometimes God says yes and we get what we asked for. This can be seen as like the green traffic light.
God always answers prayer but he might say yes, no or wait.

We are going to have the chance to say our own prayers if we want to.
Talk to the person next to you and tell them what you would like to thank God for.
You can say a prayer quietly to yourself now, to thank God for the things you mentioned.
Ask everyone to close their eyes and have a few minutes of silence.
